Understanding the mission, goals, and future of the National Internet Health Dashboard

The Problem

Cameroon faces significant internet connectivity challenges — from infrastructure gaps in northern regions to inconsistent ISP performance in urban centres. Until now, there has been no centralized, publicly accessible platform for monitoring national internet health.

Citizens, businesses, researchers, and regulators have lacked the data needed to make informed decisions about connectivity, investments, and policy.

Project Objectives
Real-time Monitoring
Continuously measure latency, uptime, and packet loss across all 10 regions of Cameroon.
Identify Bottlenecks
Detect and report performance degradation, routing anomalies, and ISP-level issues promptly.
Inform Stakeholders
Provide actionable data to citizens, businesses, policymakers, and regulators.

Hold ISPs accountable through transparent, independent performance benchmarking.
